Hi there, I’m Melissa!
I help you heal from social and performance anxiety to express your weird and wonderful self!
You are inherently worthy of being seen and connected, and expressing your creative gifts.
You are bone deep magical. The parts of yourself that you are afraid to face have secret stories and strengths.
Magical therapies can help you discover your power and alchemize fear into confidence.
~More on my magical therapy approach~
Creativity has always been my connection to power. As a kid I watched The Worst Witch and dressed up as a sorceress for Halloween. I used to write poems in antique looking journals, fancying myself like Anne of Green Gables. Several nights a week were spent at the dance studio learning tap and jazz. I discovered singing at age 11 and had my first glimpse of real magic harmonizing with others in choir practice.
After many years of technical training as a singer, I struggled with perfectionism and performance anxiety. In my early twenties, I worked with a therapeutic vocal coach who helped me get in touch with my anger. I found the powerful voice I always wanted and never knew I had inside. Singing became an outlet for my deepest emotions in a way that felt exhilarating but also safe. Now I use music therapy to help other singers find their vocal courage.
Then I learned Internal Family Systems (IFS), a creative and spiritual therapy model. Underneath parts of me that felt more fragile, I discovered the 8 C’s of “Self Energy”: creativity, confidence, courage, calm, connectedness, compassion, clarity, curiosity. Through discovering my strength and healing parts of myself that I thought were broken, I could finally trust my power. I learned that magic is real ~ and that it is in each and every one of us.
During one IFS guided visualization I met my parts “Baby Witch” and “Mama Witch.” Baby Witch is a creative daydreamer. She uses fantasy to block me from fear. Mama Witch is my “seer” part. She can intuitively read the room and guard me against people with malevolent intentions.
Meeting my inner witches confirmed for me that I am a witch, though I am not a practicing pagan. Nor do I look much like a witch on a daily basis. Yes, I own crystals and occasionally dress like Stevie Nicks, but being a witch is not performative for me. I harness magic through music therapy and IFS which connect to my bravery.
Creative therapies help me come into my fullest power and resilience. Now I guide you to transform fear into confidence.

“You’ve always had the power, my dear. You just needed to learn it for yourself.”

My Muggle Bio
My therapeutic career is inspired by my devotion to singing. I received my bachelor’s from Berklee College of Music. Then I fell in love with the intersection of psychology and singing, and pursued my master’s in Music Therapy.
My music therapy training included leading songwriting groups for veterans, fieldwork in pediatric cancer care at Memorial Sloan Kettering and an internship at the mental health clinic Baltic Street in Brooklyn, NY. My master’s thesis details my work there helping singer-songwriters resolve performance anxiety.
I started healing through IFS 6 years ago and began formally training in the model in 2020. My current focus is educating about the magic of IFS and music therapy. I also am an IFS vocal coach over at Voice Revolution.
